Design for a New Tomorrow tries to accommodate the busy schedules of our clients by booking daytime appointments. We appreciate your flexibility in attending counselling sessions before work, or in the afternoon.

There is pay parking available for clients who wish to drive.

Privacy and Confidentiality
Privacy and confidentiality are key concepts of counselling and must be protected at all costs. Design for a New Tomorrow is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information. The information you provide to us will be used to assist in the proper administration of counselling services and to keep you informed about our programs and services. We do not release client names or information under any circumstances, unless required by law.
We are, however, obligated to report cases such as the following:
- Child neglect or abuse is suspected or known.
- Another person's life is threatened or endangered.
- Breach of probation.
- Court order
Fees and Payment
There is a one-time administration fee of $5 for our Women’s services.
***Partner Assault Response participants: Program fees will be assessed during the initial Intake interview.
Referrals
Self-Referrals and Community services including, but not limited to Doctors, Lawyers, Educators.
Cancellation Policy
We Expect:
- That you will make any arrangements necessary to ensure that you can attend regularly in order to benefit from our services
- That you will notify us 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel. (If you miss 2 appointments without contacting us we will assume that you no longer require counselling and your customary appointment time will be filled by another client.) Clients are always welcome to return
- If you call to cancel, it is important that you confirm or re-schedule your next appointment and keep it, so that we can continue to provide you with our service
- When you cancel in good time, you give another woman the benefit of your appointment
How do I get into group programs?
In order for you to participate in the group program, you must first be enrolled in one-on-one counselling. This is to ensure you are prepared for a group counselling environment and that the client’s particular issue is appropriate for the group program.
The counsellor and the client then decide together if the client will benefit from participating in a group program.
How many counselling sessions will I need?
The number of sessions it takes to bring clients to ultimate solution of their concern varies widely. counselling is client driven, and depends on the nature of the issue, and many other variables.
What if I want to change counsellors?
Having the right fit in regard to counsellor relationship is important. This relationship will largely dictate the success of counselling If at any point you, as a client, feel that you require a different counsellor, Design for a New Tomorrow will help you find an acceptable fit. |
